Old news but I thought I'd post it anyway. Visited the Lake District for a week in November with the intent of doing a bit of cycling. The weather was wet the whole time we were there but still managed to get a few days out on the trails.

Thursday the weather was so bad we didn't even make it out of the house. It turned out to be some of the worst floods ever! This pic is of the river Cocker just near Lorton which is between Keswick and Cockermouth. Doesn't really get across he scale of the flood or how fast the water was moving but the river must have been at least five times its normal size.
